Create a local Simple Wisdom Community
with your neighbors, friends or colleagues.
Sharing the journey with others will enable you
to explore Simple Wisdom in greater depth and to make this wisdom your own by
applying it in your own life.
It is an insight of most spiritual traditions
that you cannot get very far along the path of self-transformation if you
attempt to walk it alone. In this spirit, the spirit guides of the Jewish wisdom
tradition exhort us to find a study partner.
The Simple Wisdom series provides an excellent
point of entry for those who want to learn to walk in the ways of wisdom. But to
really learn to walk this path, you must find a partner or create a community
that can sustain you as you, in turn, sustain your fellow in the journey along
the way.
Through the Simple Wisdom Message Boards, we hope
to provide you with one means of finding compatriots to accompany you in your
journey.
But if you want to go beyond cyber-community and
want to form a Simple Wisdom Group in your community, we want to help you to
make that dream a reality.
Irwin's home organization, CLAL - The National
Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, is ready to help you to meet this
goal by providing you with various kinds of assistance.
